Whether you are a professional needing headshots or branding images, a mother wanting beautiful photographs of herself with her family, or a high school senior excited for your next step in life, my goal is simple: I want to give you the best photograph of yourself you’ve ever seen.
Portrait photography is about telling stories, preserving memories, and communicating who you are in a way that words just can’t. I’m here to guide you through the whole experience: I’ll answer all your questions and make the planning process efficient, you’ll feel relaxed and at ease during the photo session, and we’ll make sure you’re completely satisfied with the final images.
I specialize in authentic portraits and editorial photography with beautiful lighting, and work with clients in Washington DC, Annapolis, Baltimore, and everywhere in-between. I often photograph creative professionals, couples, and high school seniors. I also work with artists, models, bands, and businesses who want stand-out, on-brand imagery for their websites and marketing.
My work has been featured in What’s Up Weddings, Bespoke Bride, Capitol Romance, Looking Good Magazine, and the UpStART arts journal.
“I can’t say enough about Joanna and the beautiful branding shots she created for me. From the moment I began to work with her, I felt at ease and just knew that she would take care of all of my needs. Meeting her was a joy and she created an easy-going, natural environment for us to work in. She is highly professional, my proofs were exceptional (I could have picked every single one of them and been happy), and I cannot wait to place her beautiful photos on my website and in future promotional videos for my e-courses.” – Alexis B.
A Little About Me:
I love music, travel, dinners with friends, and coffee. I live in Annapolis with my husband Justin and our rescue dog and cat: Tumnus and Lucy. Nothing inspires me like individuality and people who are passionate about what they do. Photography has been my passion since I was given my first camera when I was 12. I graduated from college in 2007 with a double major in Art and Photography and have been following my love of connecting with people through photographs ever since.
